The RGVCBA strives to promote the business interests of those engaged in the U.S. Customs Brokerage Industry.  The Association fosters cooperative action in advancing the common purposes of its members, achieved in working with other industries and federal organizations. Our members pride themselves in quality service, ethical standards and forward thinking in the international arena.  RGVCBA is a leader in the Rio Grande Valley representing broker/trade issues.
Businesses serving the needs of the international trade community seriously consider membership in RGVCBA.  The association provides a forum for members and related agencies/organizations to effectively exchange ideas and keep abreast on pertinent issues and technologies affecting the trade.





Direction

The purpose of the RGVCBA is to perform the following:

1. To promote the common business interests of those engaged in the U.S. Customs Brokerage Industry.

2. To foster cooperative action in advancing by all lawful means the common purposes of its members, and promote activities designed to enable the industry to be conducted with the greatest economy and efficiency.

3. To afford due consideration to and expression of opinion upon questions affecting the industry and the financial, commercial, and industrial interests of the nation, and to promote the common business interests of the industry.

4. To cooperate with other industries and organizations that affect the U.S. Customs Brokerage Industry, such as, but not limited to, the U.S. Customs Service, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Food and Drug Administration.



Customhouse Broker



The U.S. Customhouse Broker is the facilitator for the importer and exporter responsible for getting cargo to and from the U.S. commerce. From the point of import entry, the broker interfaces with Customs, other government agencies and companies involved in expediting trade.
